Victories for Liverpool and Arsenal

King Kenny, on his second homecoming, delivered his first victory AWAY from home(where Reds have failed miserably this season). It was a welcome three points for the Reds. Fernando Torres scored  a brace with two tap ins and Raul Meireles, following his Derby Day goal, scorched the net again with a belter of a 25 yard volleyed goal. The result moves the Red half of Merseyside into the top half of the table. Torres, who has looked surly all season, was lively throughout, and dispelled notions about him wanting out of  Liverpool.I hope the Reds are finally on the ascendancy ( and not prove another false dawn), and will be likely pushing for Europa League Spots.
Arsenal, the League title contenders , were close on the heels of league leaders Manchester United with a victory over 10 man Wigan Athletic. Robin Van Persie scored a hat trick while missing a penalty as well. It was vintage Arsenal who completely dominated their opponents. Wigan captain, Caldwell was sent off following a professional foul on Gunners captain Fabregas and will serve a three match ban as a result. not a good selection if he was in your Fantasy premier league team.

football in present times

these days football has become such a protected play. no hard tackles , no passion for the derbies. basically just a commercial game yet i still love it because its passion is unparalleled.
